The version of Compline that we have done in Seattle since 1956 is published by The Plainsong and Medieval Music Society, copyright © 1949, but actually comes from the Proposed Book of Common Prayer (1928) for the Church of England. Follow the above link for a history of the prayer book, while you may compare what the choir uses with the version in the prayer book.
(NOTE: The Plainsong and Medieval Music Society now offers a new edition of the Order of Compline, copyright © 2005, where the confession of faith has been moved closer to the beginning of the service, among other changes. The choir does not intend to adopt the newer edition at this time.)

Albany, NY: Cathedral of All Saints (Episcopal). Compline is offered by the choir of men and boys at 8 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
